Your daily work summary
On days when your co-founder gets real work done, or something needs your attention, you'll get a short email in the evening summarizing it — written in your co-founder's own voice, the same way it talks to you in chat.
What it covers
- What I did — the milestones reached and work finished while you weren't watching. When something I mention has a real address — your website going live, an update to it — I include the address right in that line, so you can click through instead of hunting for it.
- Suggestions I'm working from — starting points your co-founder put in place to keep going rather than stopping to ask: a working business name, a starting price, who it thinks your customers are. These are suggestions, not decisions made for you, and nothing here is settled — say the word in chat and it changes.
- Needs attention — anything that got stuck or ran into a problem, named plainly rather than buried.
- Waiting on you — anything that needs your OK to run, like an approval for a purchase or a send.
- Still need you to — things only you can finish, like verifying your email address. I include the link to pick up right where it left off.
- What's next — the current focus. If your Stripe account isn't connected yet, I also mention here that payments aren't switched on, as a status rather than a request; the Payments card in the co-founder panel shows where it stands (see "Setting up payments vs. sending a payment link").
Not everything I did has a page of its own yet — things like market research or a pricing gut-check are notes I wrote for you, not a page on your site, so those show up as the actual write-up in the email rather than a link. Ask me about them any time and I'll walk you through what I found.
When you get one
The email only goes out on days there's something worth telling you — if nothing happened and nothing's waiting, you won't get an empty email. It arrives once a day, timed to your evening.
If you hit reply
Every send says at the bottom what happens when you hit reply, so it isn't something you have to remember — and replying to my emails is the page that covers it, including how to change it and what I will and won't do off the back of an email.
If a person is what you wanted, talking to a real person covers every way to get one.
It's also in your Inbox
Every daily summary your co-founder emails you also shows up in your business Inbox, so you can find one again later without digging through your personal email — just ask "show me the emails you've sent me."
You can always ask instead of waiting
You don't have to wait for the evening email — ask your co-founder "what's waiting on me?" or "what have you been working on?" at any point in the day and you'll get the same live answer.
You're in control of this
You decide whether this email arrives at all. Set Evening summary email to Every day or Never in Settings → Notifications, follow the link at the bottom of any summary, or just tell me in chat — "stop emailing me every night" is enough. Turning the daily summary off walks through what changes and what doesn't: turning it off stops the email and nothing else, and emails about your account still reach you either way.
