When you get paid
When a customer pays through your Velo Prime™ storefront or a payment link, the money moves through Stripe Connect before it reaches your bank account.
About the "Stripe processing fees" number
Settings → Payments shows a "Stripe processing fees" total alongside your gross volume for the month. That's Stripe's own card-processing fee (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per charge) — it's the same fee any business taking card payments pays. See how your plan is billed for what Velo Prime™ charges.
Typical timing
- First payout: Stripe usually holds your very first payout for a few extra days while it finishes verifying your account. After that, payouts settle on the regular schedule below.
- Regular payouts: funds from a successful charge are typically available in your connected bank account 2-3 business days after the charge. Weekends and bank holidays don't count as business days.
- Payout day: Stripe pays out on a rolling schedule — there isn't a single "payday" for every business. Settings → Payments shows this month's totals, including your most recent payout date.
Why it's not instant
Card networks and banks both need time to clear a transaction before the money is truly yours to move — this is standard across every payment processor, not specific to Velo Prime™. Stripe fronts you the funds on its normal schedule rather than waiting for the slowest possible clearing time.
If a payout looks late
Check Settings → Payments first — it shows whether payouts are active or paused, plus anything Stripe still needs from you before it can pay out (this can happen for new accounts or unusually large transactions). You answer those questions to Stripe itself, not to us, and you can also see them by signing in to your own Stripe account at dashboard.stripe.com. If your last payout date looks older than expected, reach out from the chat and your co-founder will help you sort it out.
