Reading your Activity log
Activity feed is the running log of what I've actually done for your business. It isn't a standing panel any more. On a wide screen there's no activity log view now: the right-hand panel shows cards instead (Inbox, Payments, Domain and the rest), so use Approval History on the Dashboard for what you've approved or skipped, and your evening summary email for the day's work. On your phone, while I'm working on something, tap the status line just above the chat box to open Recent activity.
What each line means
Every line is one thing I did, with the time it happened and a small mark telling you what kind of thing it was:
- ✓ Did it — something I got done, or a longer job I kicked off. A website published, an email sent, a payment link created — or "started building your website", which means the work is under way rather than finished.
- ▸ Working on it — something is underway, or I'm waiting on an answer from outside.
- ✎ A suggestion from me — something I've put in place as a starting point rather than stopping to ask: a working business name, a starting price, who I think your customers are. These are the ones worth skimming. None of it is a decision and none of it is locked in — it's what I'm working from until you tell me otherwise, so just say so in chat and I'll change it.
- ◆ Waiting on you — I'm ready to do something and need your yes first. You approve or skip it from the "Waiting on you" section, not from this log.
- ✗ Didn't work — something failed. The line says in plain language what happened; if I can retry it myself, I will.
What it deliberately leaves out
Activity feed is a record of what changed for your business, not a step-by-step engineering log. So you won't see me narrating the individual stages of a build ("writing tests", "setting up the workspace"), and you won't see the same "still building" note repeated every few minutes while a long job runs. Those aren't decisions or outcomes, and a log full of them buries the handful of lines that actually matter to you.
One line per approval
When you approve something, you get one line for it, and that line updates as things progress: first it's waiting on you, then it's approved, then it says what came of it. You won't see the same sentence three times in a row with a different mark next to it.
Repeats fold into one line
When I do the same thing several times in a row, you get one line with a count next to it, like "×12", at the time of the most recent one. When a newer version of your website takes the place of versions still waiting on you, those older versions fold into one line that names them, for example "v0.0.4, v0.0.5 folded into v0.0.8".
Some lines can be opened
If I researched something online to land on a suggestion, that line has a small triangle. Open it and you'll see the actual pages I read, as links you can click. That's the only thing hidden behind the triangle — if a line doesn't have one, there's nothing more to see.
Want to know exactly where a build is up to?
The Dashboard shows a build while it runs. Or just ask me in chat.
How far back it goes
Activity feed covers roughly the last day — it's a "what's happening now" view. For a permanent record of your decisions, use Approval History on the Dashboard, which keeps everything you've ever approved or skipped. For a written wrap-up of a whole day, check your evening summary email (see "Your daily work summary").
"What I've done for you," at a glance
On a wide screen, in the co-founder panel down the right side, you'll also see a running count for your current billing cycle: actions I've taken, decisions I've made, and goals I've completed, all added up since your cycle last renewed.
This count resets when your billing cycle renews — not on the first of the calendar month. If your billing date falls mid-month, that's when your count starts over too.
If it's been a quiet stretch, you won't see a flat zero staring back — there's just nothing to report yet. That's not a problem on my end; the moment there's something to count, it'll show up here.
If something looks wrong
Just ask me in chat. If one of my suggestions isn't what you'd have gone with, say so and I'll change it — that's exactly why those lines are marked out from the rest.
