Nobody on your list gets the same email twice

Every email you send keeps track of who it reached. When you send it to your list, it goes only to the people on that list who haven't received it yet. Nobody gets the same email twice by accident.

Adding people after an email went out

Say your announcement already went to your list, and then you add a few more people. Just say "send my emails" or "send the announcement to my list." It goes to the people you added, and nobody who already got it hears from you again.

There's no need to write a new email for the new people. In fact, a brand-new email is a brand-new send, so everyone on the list would get that one.

When everyone already has it

If everyone on your list has already received the email, there's nobody new to send it to. The approval says so, and approving it sends nothing. Nothing is marked as failed. It just means you're all caught up.

Seeing who it goes to before you approve

The approval for a send lists who it's going to, from your real list: "Goes to sue@example.com and raj@example.com," or a count when the list is long. That list comes straight from your contacts and from who has already received the email, so it's the honest answer to "who is this going to?"

Sending it to someone again on purpose

If you name someone who already received the email ("send it to Amy again"), it does go to them, because you asked for them by name. The approval tells you they already received it, so it never happens without you knowing.

Older emails

For an email sent before this tracking started, there's no record of who received it, so it can't be sent to your whole list again. You can still send it to people you name. See "Emailing just one person on your list".

People who unsubscribed

Someone who has unsubscribed never gets another email from your list, whether you send to everyone or name them.

For the basics of sending, see "Sending marketing email to your list".
