Emailing just one person on your list
You don't have to email your whole list every time. Name who an email is for — "email Amy," or "I just added Sue, send her the announcement too" — and it goes to those people and nobody else.
Sending an email that already went out
This works with an email you've already sent to your list. If you add someone after your announcement went out, ask for it to go to them, and only they get it. The people who already received it don't get it again.
What has to be true first
- They're on your list. The person needs to be one of your contacts on that list, and you need their permission to email them. If they're not on it yet, add them first.
- You approve it. Like every send, it checks with you before anything goes out, and the request names who it's going to.
Anyone you name who isn't on the list, or who has unsubscribed, is skipped rather than emailed.
Sending it to your whole list later
If you send an email to one person first and later send it to your whole list, they won't get it twice: a send to your list skips everyone who already has it. See "Nobody on your list gets the same email twice".
Naming someone who already has it
If you name someone who already received the email, it goes to them again, because you asked for them by name. The approval tells you they already received it.
People who unsubscribed
Someone who has unsubscribed from your list never gets another email from it — not a full send, and not one sent just to them.
For sending to your whole list, see "Sending marketing email to your list".
