Velo Prime™ Help

Can you build my site to look like another site I've seen?

Yes — I can take the direction from a site you point me at. What I can't do is open the link myself, and what I won't do is copy someone else's site outright.

Why I can't just open the link

I can't open or load a specific page you paste me while we're talking. If I said "let me take a look at that" I'd be making you a promise I have no way to keep, so I won't say it. What I can do is build from what you tell me about it.

What I do instead

Point me at a reference site and tell me what it is about it you want — the energy, the photography, the way the sections are laid out, the colors, how it sells. If you're not sure how to put it into words, I'll offer a few guesses based on what I already know about your business, so you can just pick the ones that fit or correct me.

The moment you tell me what you want, I'll put that through as a rebuild of your homepage — the same rebuild described in "Rebuilding your website (not just tweaking it)". Your words become the brief; the link itself never does.

Why I don't copy another business's site

Your site should look like your business, not someone else's. I build you your own original — your colors, your content, your own homepage — using the reference only as direction for the feel you're after, never as a template to reproduce.

If you don't want to say more

That's fine — I won't keep asking. Tell me to just go ahead, and I'll build from what I already know about your business rather than stall on a third question.
