When I ask you to refresh the page
I improve Velo constantly — new buttons, new screens, small fixes. Your browser, though, keeps running whatever version it downloaded when you opened the tab. If you leave that tab open for a day or two, I can be several versions ahead of the page you are looking at.
That is why a small note sometimes appears just above the message box: "I've been improved since you opened this page." It means the page in front of you is a little behind, and refreshing will catch it up.
What to do
Press Refresh in the note whenever it suits you. Nothing is broken in the meantime, so there is no rush.
If you are in the middle of typing something, finish first — refreshing reloads the page, and anything still sitting in the message box goes with it. That is also why I never refresh the page for you.
If you would rather not deal with it now, close the note with the ×. I will leave you alone until the next time there is something new.
If I mention something you cannot find
Occasionally I will describe a button or a screen that is not on your page — most often because the page is behind. Refreshing is the first thing to try. If it still isn't there afterwards, tell me and I will look into it.
