Uploading your logo and images to your website

You can hand me your logo or a photo straight from our chat, on your phone or on a computer. I'll keep it safe for when we build or update your website.

Sending me an image

  1. Tap the picture button at the left of the message box. Your phone or computer will offer your photos — and, on a phone, the option to take a new picture there and then.
  2. Pick the image you want me to have.
  3. I'll ask one question: is this your logo, or a photo?
  4. That's it. I'll say something back the moment it's saved — you don't need to type anything else for me to see it. You'll see your own picture right there on your message, so you can tell at a glance it went through — the same way you see a picture I send you.

Chat is the only place to do this, and the picture button works everywhere. On a computer you have two extra shortcuts if you prefer them: drag the image onto the chat window, or copy it and paste it in. Those two don't work on a phone — that's what the button is for.

Why I ask whether it's your logo

Your logo and your photos get used differently on a website, so I need to know which one you've sent me. Answer It's my logo and I'll file it as your logo; answer It's a photo and I'll keep it with your other images.

I don't put images on your site the moment you send them. Ask me for a website change whenever you're ready and I'll use what you've given me.

What I can accept

  • File types: PNG, JPEG, or WebP
  • Maximum size: 10 MB per image
  • Maximum dimensions: 10,000 × 10,000 pixels

If an image doesn't fit, I'll tell you exactly which limit it missed — not just "upload failed" — so you know what to change.

A few things that help:

  • Logos look best as a PNG with a transparent background.
  • Aim for at least 400 × 400 pixels so your logo stays crisp on phones.
  • Send one image at a time; if you hand me several at once, I'll take the first.

Changing something you've already sent

There's no gallery of your uploads yet. To change your logo, just send me the new one — each image you hand me is filed on its own, and the most recent logo is the one I'll reach for.

You can also just ask me — "what images do I have?" or "show me what I've uploaded" — and I'll show you each one right in our chat as a small picture, with its filename underneath, alongside the size and dimensions. Tap or click any picture to open it full size in a new tab.

If one shows as a filename instead of a picture, that image isn't reachable any more — usually because it was deleted after that message was written. Ask me again and I'll list what's actually on file now.

If you want one removed, tell me which one and I'll confirm with you before I delete it (removing a file can't be undone, so I always check first).

If something goes wrong

The image was turned down. I'll say which limit it missed — the file type, the file size, or the dimensions. Re-send it in one of the accepted formats, under the sizes above.

I couldn't read the image. The file may be damaged. Try opening it on your own device first; if it won't open there either, you'll need a fresh copy.

Nothing happened when you picked the image. Check that the file is a PNG, JPEG, or WebP — I quietly ignore anything else, so nothing at all will happen if you hand me a PDF or a document.

You can't find the picture button. It sits at the left-hand end of the message box, next to where you type. If you're browsing an older conversation, the message box is hidden — tap Return to current chat first.

Nothing happened when you dragged an image in. Dragging only works on a computer, and only onto the chat window itself. On a phone, use the picture button instead.
