Starting a fresh conversation

If you'd like a clean slate in chat, there's a button for it right in the chat panel — it starts a brand-new conversation.

What happens

Your current conversation is archived, not deleted — nothing is lost. A fresh conversation starts with your co-founder's usual greeting, as if you were opening the app for the first time that session.

Finding your past conversations

Every conversation you've archived this way is still there — look for the small history icon next to the "new chat" button at the top of the chat panel. Tap it to see the full list, newest first, with the one you're currently in marked "Current."

Pick an older one and I'll show you exactly how it went, read-only — that's a look back, not a way to keep typing into it. When you're ready to talk again, one tap on "Return to current chat" brings you right back to where you left off.

What doesn't reset

Starting a new conversation only affects the chat thread itself. Your Business Identity profile, your website, your payments account, any custom apps, and everything your co-founder has been working on in the background are completely unaffected — a new conversation is a fresh start for talking, not a reset of your business.

When to use it

Handy if a conversation has gone off track, or you just want a clean start. Length on its own isn't a reason — a long conversation still opens on your most recent messages, and you can scroll back through it whenever you want to re-read something.

Your co-founder still remembers everything about your business either way — starting fresh doesn't make it forget your Business Identity or undo any work in progress. And every past conversation stays one tap away to read.

One thing worth knowing before you switch: a past conversation opens at its beginning and reads forward, and a very long one shows the earlier part of it rather than all of it — so the newest things you said in a long conversation may not be readable once you've left it. If there's something recent you'll want to keep coming back to, either stay in the conversation you're in, or tell me the part that matters and I'll carry it into the new one.
