How often I suggest social media posts
Every so often I'll suggest a social media post for your business. Posting now and then helps people find and trust you before they buy — so I bring it up myself instead of waiting for you to ask.
Social posting is turned on one business at a time. If you don't see Social in the menu, it isn't switched on for your business yet, and I'll let you know when it is.
When I suggest a post
- When your website first goes live — I'll congratulate you and offer to write either a short social media post or an email to your friends and family, so you can tell people the same day. Tap the one you want and I'll write it. I make this offer once.
- When something else worth sharing happens — your business takes its first payment, or your site gets its first blog post. I mention each of these once.
- When it's been a while — if nothing has gone out on social media with me for longer than your posting rhythm, I'll offer to draft the next one.
Either way, I only ever offer a draft for you to look over. Nothing is posted or sent unless you do it.
Changing how often
Out of the box I suggest a post about once a week. You can change that any time — just tell me in chat:
- "Suggest posts every two weeks" or "once a month is plenty" — I'll space my suggestions out.
- "Suggest posts once a week" — back to the usual rhythm.
- "Stop suggesting posts" — I won't bring up social media posts at all, not even for a big milestone, until you ask me to start again.
Turning suggestions back on
Tell me "start suggesting posts again" and pick a rhythm. Nothing is lost while suggestions are off — your past posts and drafts are all still there, and I pick up where we left off.
Turning suggestions off doesn't stop me helping when you ask. If you want a post about something, just say so.
