Answering my questions about getting found on Google

When my check of your website finds it needs more real substance to show up on Google, I ask you for it. I used to ask for everything in one message, and that got thin answers. Now I ask one question at a time.

The four questions

  1. Where you serve customers.
  2. What you offer.
  3. Any credentials worth showing, like a license, a certification, years in business or an award.
  4. A customer quote you'd like on your site.

Answer each in your own words and I move on to the next. Once all four are answered or skipped, the row under Waiting on you clears.

Answering

Type your answer in the chat box. You don't have to tap anything first. If your message answers the question I just asked, I save it with your business details and say it back so you can correct it. If it's about something else, or it's a question back to me, I don't save it. I answer you instead.

If you answer more than one question in one message, I save the answer to the question I asked and ask the next one afterward.

Skipping

Tap Skip on a question and I leave only that one out. I won't ask it again, and the other questions stay. If you'd rather not be asked any of them right now, tell me "not now" and I put all four on hold. You can bring them back from On hold.

What I save, and what I never make up

  • I only write down what you tell me. I never make up a credential, and I never write a quote for you.
  • A customer quote needs two things from you: the quote itself, and your word that the customer agreed to be quoted. Without both, I don't save it, and I'll ask again.
  • Saving isn't changing your website. Your answers go into your business details. Putting them on the site is still a website update, which I describe and ask you to approve first.

If you were partway through when I changed how I ask, nothing is lost. I pick up at the next question you haven't answered or skipped.
